For New Clients

The first step is the hardest one

We know that starting counseling can be difficult and scary. Here is exactly what happens when you reach out, so there are no surprises.

How it works

1

Call (806) 452-8006

A short, confidential conversation. Tell us what's going on — for you or for someone you love. If we're in session, leave a message and we'll call you back.

2

Schedule an intake

We'll set up an intake appointment, usually in the evening. It takes about an hour and covers your history, your goals, and any medical or mental-health needs.

3

Build your plan

Together we decide what fits: evening IOP groups, individual sessions, family sessions, or a mix. Nothing is one-size-fits-all.

4

Start

Show up. That's it. Maisey will probably greet you first.

What to bring to intake

  • IDA photo ID
  • InsuranceYour insurance card, if you have one
  • MedicationsA list of current medications and dosages
  • PaperworkAny court, probation, or employer paperwork we need to complete
  • SupportA family member is welcome to come with you

Common questions

Is this confidential?

Yes. Your information is protected under federal confidentiality rules for substance use treatment (HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2). We do not share anything with anyone — including family, employers, or courts — without your written consent, except where the law requires it.

Do you take my insurance?

Coverage changes often, so please call with your plan details and we'll tell you exactly what to expect. Self-pay options are available if you're uninsured.

I'm not a Christian. Can I still come?

Absolutely. We are a Christian-based practice and faith is woven into how we work, but everyone is welcome and no one is pressured. Our clinical care is the same for every client.

Do I have to be sober to start?

You have to be safe. If you're physically dependent on alcohol or benzodiazepines, stopping suddenly can be dangerous, and you may need medical detox first. Call us — we'll help you figure out the safest next step.

Do you offer inpatient or residential care?

No. We are outpatient only: evening groups and counseling sessions that fit around your work and family. If you need a residential program, we'll help you find one.

Can my family be involved?

We hope so. Because the effects of substance abuse reach beyond the client, we strongly encourage participation from family and other people supportive of your recovery. Family members can also call us directly for guidance.

I'm here because of a court or probation requirement. Does that matter?

Not to us. Plenty of people start here because they have to and stay because it works. We'll complete whatever documentation you need.

Make the call.

Confidential, no pressure, no judgment.
